Considered a sacred village, it is situated on the confluence of the rivers Krishna and Panchaganga and is renowned for the holy `Padukas`, (wooden slippers) of Shree Dattaguru.
The village sustains much archaeological importance, because Shree Narasimha Saraswati who was the incarnation of Shree Dattaguru stayed here for 12 years. Earlier this place was known as Amrapur. The holy Panchaganga and the Amareshwar Temple are the other nearby attractions. The nearest railway station, Jaisingpur is 14 km away from Narasimha Wadi and 5 km away from Sangli Railway station.
