Nama, Trident Mark Of The VaishnavasNama is the literally name of the trident mark of the Vaishnavas. Vaishnavas wear the Nama on their forehead. This mark or figure is called Tirunama.

Tirunama is the `holy name`. It is an imitation of Vishnu`s trident almost like the Hebrew character shin. It consists of two white lines, extending from the hair to the eyebrows, and then leading to the nose where they meet. There is a red perpendicular line between them from the nose to the hair.
