Meera Nandan, Indian ActressMeera Nandan is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the South Indian film industries. Nandan started her career as a television host in Malayalam television. Later, she focused on South Indian cinemas. In terms of movies, she has acted in four languages of South India namely Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Early Life of Meera Nandan
She was born as Meera Nandakumar on 26 November 1990 at Perandoor, Elamakkara, Kochi. Her parents are Nandakumar and Maya. She has a younger brother Arjun Nandakumar. Actress Divya Unni is a distant relative of her.

Education of Meera Nandan
Nandan attended Bhavans Vidya Mandir to receive her school education. She did her graduation in English literature from St. Teresa`s College Ernakulam. Presently, she is pursuing her masters in Mass Communication with Journalism through distant education from Manipal University.

Career of Meera Nandan
Nandan"s tryst with the glamour world started with an advertisement for Mohanlal`s Taste Buds. Then in the year 2007, she auditioned as a competitor in Idea Star Singer which aired on Asianet Television. However, Nandan was zeroed in on as an anchor for the programme. Then she went on to do anchoring for television programmes on Amrita TV and Jeevan TV, too.

She debuted as a film actress the following year with director Lal Jose"s Malayalam movie "Mulla". Lal Jose was looking for a new face for his upcoming film and Poornima, wife of actor Indrajith Sukumaran, suggested Meera"s name hence she was approached. Her first film, where she was seen essaying the role of Lachi, a "bold, smart and outgoing girl", made her win accolades.

She stepped into Tamil cinema the next year with "Valmiki". Her impressive work garnered her a few more Tamil films including K. T. Kunjumon`s Kadhalukku Maranamillai, Ayyanar and Suriya Nagaram.

The year 2011 saw her debuting in Telugu cinema with "Jai Bolo Telangana" where she played the role of a villain. In 2013, she appeared as a journalist in the film "Lokpal". That year she also tried her luck in playback singing. She sang the romantic number "Mazhayude Ormakal" composed by Ratheesh Vegha for V. K. Prakash`s "Silence".

Nandan debuted in Kannada film in 2012 with the movie "Karodpathi". However, the titled was later changed to "Kotyadhipathi" and it released after a long delay in 2014.

Next, she was seen in "Black Forest" enacting the role of a tribal girl. The film grabbed the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation.
