Marudeva
Marudeva was a Suryavanshi and a son of Supratika.
Marudeva was a descendant from the Sun Dynasty or Solar Dynasty or Suryavansha. Sun Dynasty is one of the most prominent dynasties in the history of Hinduism. Marudeva was the progeny of Ikshwaku. Ikshwaku was the first prominent monarch of Sun Dynasty, giving the dynasty another name the Ikshwaku dynasty. He had one hundred sons. Fifty of them ruled Uttarapath (Northern India) and the other fifty ruled Dakshinapath (Southern India).
