Mahendri and Mahesvari are the two of the Shaktis.

Mahendri and Mahesvari are the two of the Shaktis or the eight goddesses. Shakti means power and the ultimate feminine power inherent in all Creations.

In Hindu mythology Shakti represents the powerful male deities like Vishnu and Shiva. The female counterpart of Vishnu`s Shakti is Lakshmi and Shiva is Parvati.
