Career of Mahat Raghavendra
Born on February 18, 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Mahat Raghavendra pursued a career in films with actor-director Silambarasan, after completing a degree at Hindustan College of Arts and Science. Silambarasan cast him in a minor role for his 2006 directed film "Vallavan", in which he himself played the lead. Mahat was initially set to make his debut in the Tamil remake of the successful 2008 Telugu film "Ullasamga Utsahamga", however, the venture never took off.

Mahat Raghavendra was signed by his childhood friend and producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri, to portray a role in Venkat Prabhu-directed black comedy action-heist film "Mankatha". The film, released in 2011, saw him portraying the role of a Mumbai bar owner, alongside an ensemble cast of Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Vaibhav Reddy, Ashwin Kakumanu and others. The film opened to critical and commercial acclaim and also won Mahat the Edison Award for Best Debut Actor.

Post "Mankatha", Mahat acted in Telugu films "Backbench Student" and "Bunny n Cherry", both released in 2013. He was seen in a cameo appearance in Tamil films "Biriyani" and "Vadacurry", and in a supporting role in action comedy-drama film "Jilla", wherein he played Vignesh. In 2015, he was seen as the character Vijay in debutant director"s P. B. Manjunath"s Telugu ensemble "Ladies & Gentlemen", which opened to positive reviews. He has last been seen in Telugu movies "Badham Pistha", "Panchadara Pachimirchi", "Puri Sir I Love You" and Tamil film "Simbu".

Personal Life of Mahat Raghavendra
Mahat Raghavendra, Tamil Film ActorMahat Raghavendra had been reportedly seeing actress Taapsee Pannu, even before the release of his debut film "Mankatha". The actor, however, denied reports of being in a relationship. Mahat was involved in an altercation with Telugu actor Manoj Manchu in July 2012. The duo had clashed at the after party of the 59th Filmfare Awards South in Chennai. The incident happened at 4 am and Mahat was subsequently treated for a swollen eye, severe pain to his right jaw. Reports had indicated that the issue involved also concerned Taapsee Pannu, with earlier speculations that Manoj and Taapsee had moved in together. They both later amicably sorted out their differences and released an official statement denying further charges.
