Early Life of Taapsee Pannu
She was born on 1st August 1987 in New Delhi into a Sikh family. She received her school education from Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. She did Computer Science Engineering from the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Before turning a full time actress, she worked as a software engineer. She has a sister named Shagun Pannu whom she is planning to launch into films as well.

Modelling Career of Taapsee Pannu
Pannu"s tryst with glamour world kick started with modelling. She participated in various beauty pageants and won titles like "Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face" and "Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin". She has appeared in numerous print and television commercials and endorsed brands like Reliance Trends, Red FM 93.5, UniStyle Image, Coca-Cola, Motorola, Pantaloon, PVR Cinemas, Standard Chartered Bank, Dabur, Airtel, Tata Docomo, World Gold Council, Havells and Vardhman. She was also seen on the cover of magazines like Just for Women and MaaStars.

Acting Career of Taapsee Pannu
She made her acting debut with the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam in 2010. Directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, the film featured her in the role of the daughter of a US-based millionaire who comes to India to research traditional Telugu music. In the following year she appeared in a Tamil cinema Aadukalam where she was seen essaying the role of an Anglo-Indian girl falling in love with a rural man played by Dhanush. Set against the backdrop of Madurai, the film revolves around cockfights. The film received critical acclaim and bagged six National Film Awards at the 58th National Film Awards ceremony. In the same year, she was again seen in a Tamil film titled Vastadu Naa Raju opposite Vishnu Manchu. She stepped into Malayalam cinema later that year, with Doubles opposite Mammootty and Nadiya Moidu. In the following years, she was seen in films like Mr. Perfect, Veera and Vandhaan Vendraan which received moderate success.

She again came into limelight after working in Krishna Vamsi`s Mogudu which garnered critical acclaim for her performance. In the movie, she was seen portraying the role of a traditional Telugu girl opposite Gopichand. Next, she worked on the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Gundello Godari.

Pannu made her Bollywood debut with Chashme Baddoor which is a remake of the 1981 film with the same title. In this movie, she shares the screen with Siddharth, Rishi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Ali Zafar. After this, she worked in the big budget action thriller Arrambam co-starring Ajith Kumar and Arya. The film bagged her Most Enthusiastic Performer-Female Award at the 2014 Edison Awards.

Her second Bollywood venture was Neeraj Pandey`s Baby opposite Akshay Kumar where she portrayed the role of an undercover agent. Later, she had two Tamil releases, the horror comedy Muni 3 opposite Raghava Lawrence and Aishwarya R. Dhanush`s Vai Raja Vai, which featured her in special appearance.
