Madh Fort, also known as Versova Fort, is located in the south portion of the Madh Village in Mumbai, Maharashtra on the Madh Beach. The fort was built by Portuguese in the 17th century as a watchtower, which offers a strategic view of the coastline and it guards the Marve Creek. The Marathas captured the fort in the 1739 CE war. The British then occupied Salsette Island, Thana Fort, island fort of Karanja along with Madh Fort in 1774 CE. The external structure of the fort is intact but internally it is almost in ruins now. Madh Fort is currently under the control of Indian Air Force and it is located close to an Indian Air Force base. Madh Fort is not open for public, and it is surrounded by local fishermen communities. The fort is constructed in a seven sided polygonal structure.

Madh Fort is located 15 km away from Malad, Mumbai. Malad Railway Station and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport are the nearest to visit the fort. It can also be reached by road from Versova.
