Maa Hari Devi`s Temple is situated atop a hillock in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh. The temple interestingly enshrines only the eyes of Goddess Hari Devi, worshipped by the faithful. Hari Devi is the Kul Devi (patron goddess) of the locals. Worshippers offer the bridegroom`s `sehra` (a head cloth, heavily ornamented, worn during marriage) after their marriage in the temple. Legends say that queen Nagavdai had built the present Maa Hari Temple. As she was childless, she had visited almost all the shrines and had implored all deities for a male child. Then one night Maa presented herself in the queen`s dream and told her that if she comes to her temple without any self-centred issues, she shall be gifted with a male child. After sunrise, therefore the queen visited the temple of Maa Hari in great affection. Her desires were duly satisfied and she in extreme devotion erected a temple of the goddess. Maa Hari Devi`s Temple can be easily reached from Ghamarwin.
