Lobha - Son of Lord Brahma

Lobha is one of the sons of Lord Brahma.

Lobha in Sanskrit means covetousness and cupidity. Lobha is one of the sons of Lord Brahma, born in an evil hour. In the Vishnu Purana he is mentioned as the being one of Brahma`s progeny of virtues and vices.

The other children created by Brahma during this time are Dharma, Adharma, Kama, Krodha and Saraswati (righteousness, evil, lust, anger and the presiding deity of knowledge and speech respectively).

In another part of the Vishnu Purana, Lobha is described as the son of Dharma by one of the daughters of Daksha. He is also said to be the son of Adharma (vice) and it states that he was married to Nikriti, and their progeny was Krodha and Hinsa, that is greed.
