Kelve Fort

Kelve Fort is located near Palghar District of Maharashtra at the southern end of the Kelva Beach. It was built by the Portuguese in 16th century.

The fort was built by the Portuguese during the 16th century. Later, it was also used by the Maratha ruler, Shivaji for his defense purposes. Most of the region around the fort is covered with Suru trees.
