Keezha Thiruvenkatanathapuram is a village situated at a distance of 10 km from Tirunelveli in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The village located on a hillock is at a distance of almost 10 kms from the town. The famous Perumal gopuram is present in the temple.

Keezha Thiruvenkatanathapuram is established on an elevated plane surface. The Perumal gopuram temple also known as Sengani is located on the bank of the Thamirabarani River. The word `Sengani` has been derived from two Tamil words `Sen; meaning red and `Kani` meaning land. It has been named so because of the red colour of the soil found in this region. Later the name was changed to `Sangani.` the temple was constructed by King Verapandian in the 12th century. The Kubera vassal, the main entrance of the temple is constructed on the northern side of the shrine. The main tree also known as sthala virusha of the temple is a bamboo tree.
Keezha Thiruvenkatanathapuram is well connected by different modes of transport. There are three roads leading from Tirunelveli to the temple. Tourists can avail the daily minibus plying from different cities.
