Kavyas

Kavyas is a class of Pitris. They are connected intimately with the manasaputras or solar pitris, monads of intrinsically spiritual-intellectual type or descent, as opposed to the barhishads or lunar pitris, the lower human ancestors. As the various descents of mind governed by cyclic law are connected with the manasaputras, so the kavyas are often represented as intimately connected with the whirling cycles of evolutionary time, and as presiding over these cycles.
