Kasaba Ganapati Temple

Constructed back in the year 1894, the Kasaba Ganapati Temple houses the deity, "Ganapati" or Ganesha.

Kasaba Ganapati TempleKasaba Ganapati is the first Ganapati idol to be honored for Pune. The Kasaba Ganapati Utsav is celebrated without `gulal` (vermilion). Shivaji Maharaja`s mother Rajmata Jijabai had put up the statue.

In her honour, Dadoji Kondadev had put up a tent in front of the idol. Whenever a wedding is in hand, the first invitation is given to this Ganesh. Since 1894, the Mandal of this temple are the first in processions.
