Kaparddin is one of the eleven Rudras and is described as the father of the winds.

Kaparddin is one of the eleven Rudras. He is described as the father of the winds. The Rudra avatar of Kaparddin also finds mention in the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

Indian mythology presents Kaparddin as the one who has matted locks on his head. at times he also displays a head that is bald. He loves to dwell in the midst of crematoriums which constitute his home. He is an observer of the austere vows. Kaparddin is also known as the destroyer of Daksha`s sacrifice.
