Kaldurg Fort

Kaldurg Fort is located in Palghar District of Maharashtra. The fort gives scenic views of Arabian Sea, Palghar Town and Surya River. This is a rectangular shaped fort divided into two parts.

Kaldurg Fort, Palghar, MaharashtraKaldurg Fort is located to the east of Palghar District of Maharashtra in the Sahyadri Mountain Range of northern Konkan. The fort is located at an elevation of 475 meters above mean sea level, as a result of which, it gives scenic views of the Arabian Sea and Palghar town to the west and Surya River to the east. This rectangular shaped fort does not have any significant historic sign except the fort structure. The fort is divided into upper portion and lower portion with two to three steps.

Visiting Information to Kaldurg Fort
Kaldurg Fort can be visited throughout the year. Palghar Railway Station is the nearest one, from where one has to take a vehicle till Waghoba Khind to reach the fort. It can also be reached by road via National Highway 48 to reach Manor towards Palghar and then stop at Waghoba Khind. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the nearest to reach the fort by air.
