John William Muir Mackenzie, formally addressed as Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie, served as one of the Acting Governors of Bombay Presidency in the year 1907.

John William Muir Mackenzie, formally addressed as Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie, served as one of the Acting Governors of Bombay Presidency in the year 1907, under the administration of the British East India Company in the former undivided British India. He was born on 19 March 1854 as the son of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie, 2nd Baronet.

John William Muir Mackenzie was appointed as the Acting Governor of Bombay Presidency on 27 July 1907 and was preceded by Sir Charles Wallace Alexander Napier Cochrane Baillie, 2nd Baron Lamington, GCMG, GCIE, who acted as the Governor of Bombay Province from 12 December 1903 to 27 July 1907. Bombay Presidency was one of the Presidencies and provinces of British India. It was first founded in the 17th century at Surat as a trading post for the British East India Company. The Presidency included the territories of modern states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, regions of Konkan, Kandesh and Desh and northwestern Karnataka state.

Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie served in office till 18 October 1907. Mackenzie was succeeded by Sir George Sydenham Clarke, 1st Baron Sydenham of Combe GCSI, GCIE, GCMG, GBE.
