Jantu is the eldest of the one hundred sons of Somaka, great king of ancient India. King Somaka and his son Jantu is well known in the Hindu mythology. King Somaka was the son of Sahadeva, and a most excellent maker of gifts and he performed a sacrifice on the banks of Yamuna.
