Indraneil Sengupta, Bengali ActorIndraneil Sengupta is an Indian model and actor, notable for his acting in Bengali movies. He has also acted in a few films both in South, Bollywood, as well as in television serials. Indraneil Sengupta has starred in a serial called "Pyaar Ke Do Naam... Ek Radha Ek Shyam". His Bollywood movies include "Shukriya: Till death do us apart", "1920", "Mumbai Salsa", "Satyagraha", Kahaani", "Autograph" and "Mishawr Rawhoshyo". He was a finalist of 1999 "Gladrags Manhunt Contest".

Early Life of Indraneil Sengupta
Indraneil Sengupta was born on 8th September 1974 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He has done his education in Ahmedabad and shifted to Mumbai for his modelling career. Indraneil belongs to the same batch as that of John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School.

Indraneil Sengupta was a finalist of the "Gladrags Manhunt Contest" in 1999. He modelled for fashion designer Rohit Bal and worked for choreographers Marc Robinson and Achala Sachdev. He also appeared in commercials for the Tata Indigo Marina car, VIP Frenchie and Aquafina. Later, he appeared in music videos for Falguni Pathak, Jagjit Singh, south Indian singer K.J Yesudas and Asha Bhonsle.

Indraneil Sengupta got his first break as a lead with a big banner Rajshri Productions daily soap "Pyar Ke Do Naam - Ek Radha Ek Shyam" in STAR Plus. He also acted in the serial `Banoo Main Teri Dulhann". In the serial "Doli Saja Ke", he acted opposite Barkha Bisht.

Indraneil Sengupta has also acted in Bollywood movies. In 2004 he was seen in the movie "Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart" with Aftab Shivdasani, Shriya Saran and Anupam Kher. He also acted in another Bollywood movie "Mumbai Salsa".

Indraneil Sengupta even has a rich acting career in Tollywood. He starred opposite Swastika Mukherjee in the Buddhadeb Dasgupta directed movie "Janala". In 2009 he was cast opposite Indrani Halder in the movie "Anshumaner Chhobi". The movie was directed by Atanu Ghosh. He starred opposite the veteran Tollywood director, Rituparno Ghosh in the movie "Arekti Premer Golpo". The movie directed by Kaushik Ganguly was well praised by the audience and Indraneil"s acting has been well appreciated.

In 2010, he did his first commercial Bengali film "Jodi Ekdin", directed by Riingo. Indraneil Sengupta starred as a young aspiring director in Bengali movie "Autograph" with Prasenjit Chatterjee and Nandana Sen. In 2012 he acted in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directed Bengali movie "Aparajita Tumi" where he played a Bangladeshi young professor. He played the role of a criminal in the Hindi film "Kahaani", directed by Sujoy Ghosh in the same year. In 2012 he also played a role in a Bangladeshi movie, "Chorabali".

Indraneil Sengupta is married to Barkha Bisht, his fellow actor and co-star from "Pyar Ke Do Naam... Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam" and "Doli Saja Ke". The couple tied the knot on March 2008 after a two-year long courtship. The couple has one baby girl named Miera, who was born in October 2011.
