Himalayan Cedarwood OilHimalayan Cedarwood oil is yellow viscous oil, which has been used for centuries. The oil comes from one of the four true Cedars in the world. Himalayan Cedarwood is much preferred as compared to Virginia Cedarwood due to its pure properties. Grown at high altitude in the Himalayas (India), it has a sweet, rich top note that gives a sense of clarity and connectedness. The oil has the same antiseptic, expectorant, diuretic, nervine effects that work most on endocrine system, nerve, respiratory and urinary tract. This oil is an anti-depressive, very helpful in breathing problems, especially bronchial congestion. Himalayan Cedarwood oil mixes well with oils like Jatamansi, Sandalwood, Pine, Dhavana, Labdanum, Petitgrain, Rosewood, Calamus, Clarysage, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang. However, this oil should not be taken internally during pregnancy. Himalayan Cedarwood oil also has properties like anti-putrescent aphrodisiac, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal, and mucolytic to name a few.
