A native of Indonesia, the Ylang Ylang plant is cultivated in the Comoro Islands, North West of Madagascar. Ylang Ylang oil has an odor that cannot be appreciated except in extreme dilutions. Extraction of Ylang Ylang Oil
The oil of ylang-ylang is extracted by steam distillation of fresh flowers of the ylang-ylang tree. The tree is commonly found in the rain forests of certain Asian and South Pacific Islands like Philippines, Indonesia, Java, Sumatra, Comoro and Polynesia.
