Bergamot Oil
Bergamot can act as a wonderful anti depressant. Bergamot is made from the skin of a citrus fruit that is grown almost exclusively in the southern tip of Italy and in Morocco and West Africa. The bergamot essential oil is mainly cold pressed. It can be added to tea, or food preparations for a possible lemon like flavour.

The Bergamot oil has a sweet, sour, astringent taste. It also acts as antiseptic, antipyretic, antidepressant, vulnerary, antispasmodic astringent and appetite stimulant. It has rich, sweet-fruity initial odor, followed by a still more characteristic oily-herbaceous and somewhat balsamic body and dryout; the sweetness yields to a more tobacco-like and rich note, somewhat reminiscent of Clary sage and Neryl-acetate. It mixes well with Cypress oil, Jasmine oil, Juniper oil, Lavender oil, Neroli oil, Lemongrass oil and all Citrus oils. However, the Bergamot oil is not safe to be applied to skin in greater than a 0.5 to 1% diluted form in base oil.
