Ghorawal is surrounded by Rajgarh Tehsil towards North, Patehra Tehsil towards North, Robertsganj Tehsil towards East, Chopan Tehsil towards South. The primary language of this town is Hindi.

Location of Ghorawal
It is situated 36 km towards west from district head quarters Robertsganj. It is located between 24.77 degree North latitude and 82.78 degree East longitude at an average elevation of 303 metres (994 feet) above mean sea level.

Demography of Ghorawal
According to the 2001 census report, Ghorawal has a small population of 6478 inhabitants. Males constitute 54% and females constitute 46% of the population. In Ghorawal, 18% of the population is less than six years of age.

Literacy Rate of Ghorawal
The town has an average literacy rate of 59% which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 69% and the female literacy rate is 47%.
