Gadwal Samsthanam was the royal vassal directly ruled by the Nizams of Hyderabad.

Gadwal Samsthanam, Mahabubnagar District, TelanganaGadwal Samsthanam was the vassal of the Nizams of Hyderabad. Gadwal Samsthanam was the part of Raichur District. This Raichur District is now one of the districts in the South Indian state of Karnataka.

Gadwal Samsthanam is now in the part of Gadwal village of Mahabubnagar district of the newly made Indian state, Telangana, with the capital Hyderabad for the span of 10 years.

Gadwal Samsthanam was one of the three important samsthanams in Gadwal. The other samsthanams are Wanaparthy Samsthanam and Jatprole Samsthanam. The Samsthanam has a fort called Gadwal Fort, which is also known as Nalla Somanadri Fort.

Gadwal Samsthanam was ruled by the brutal feudal lords who are under the suzerainty of Nizams of Hyderabad in the medieval age and the early phase of British colonial empire.

Gadwal Samsthanam was once ruled by the feudal lords. Somashekar Ananda Reddy, fondly called somanadrihails from Poodoor village.

Gadwal was once the fort city. This city was developed in the medieval era around a fort built by the Gadwal ruler Somanadri.

This Gadwal Samsthanam was protected by Mallichetti Vamshiyulu. The Nagi Reddy was fondly known as Nagappa, who was an Ayngarashakulu of Gadwal Samsthanam. He died in a war with fanatic Sultans of Delhi when the Kakatiya Dynasty was declined. Then Narsappa succeeded his father Nagappa as Gadwal Samsthanam Ayngarashakulu, but unfortunately for some reason he had to leave the palace.
