East Wind Music Festival
East Wind music festival held in New Delhi for three days in 2008 and this festival was renowned for the widespread participation of several musical bands of the country. East India Company, Dream Out Loud, Motherjane, Mohit Chauhan and other popular artists have performed in this festival.

East Wind Music Festival, New DelhiEast Wind musical festival had been scheduled in the year 2008 in the country, which encourages participation from almost all the significant musical bands and artists present in India. It continued for three days and the theme of the spectacular event was `Original Contemporary Music`. The event stretched on, till the morning, all throughout the night, in parallel stages. Ever since the year 2000, the Eastwind festival has been gaining enhanced popularity, present-ability and visibility in the entire nation, particularly in the field of contemporary Indian music.

This annual festival generally held in New Delhi, which also served as the most important venue for a majority of live, musical shows and contests in the country. Gradually, the Indian musical bands are growing in terms of their popularity overseas, and are receiving frequent invitations to deliver their performances abroad, Eastwind music festival is the perfect platform which provides golden opportunities for talented musicians to showcase their skills.

The events in Eastwind Music Festival was capable of attracting a large amount of crowd mainly due to the fact that it was unique, overwhelming musical extravagance, complete with the cheerful performances of some of the most Indian popular musical bands.

The quantity of applicants in Eastwind music festival were so large that Prospect Advisory and Management, who were the organizers of the festive event were compelled to postpone the first edition of Eastwind musical festival, to accommodate all the participants. Therefore, even the second edition of the festival had been postponed from October 2009 till January 2010, prior to being cancelled.

The innumerable artists who performed in Eastwind Music festival are Skinny Alley, Leni Stern, Avial, Karsh Kale, Parikrama, Pentagram, Chromozome Eye, Helga`s Fun Castle, Dhruv Ghanekar and the Ranjit Barot Project, PINKNOISE, Theme Clones, Baja Gaja, Evergreen, Sattyanada, Indian Ocean, East India Company, Bandish, Boomarang, Oidua, Mrigya, Junkyard Groove, Raghu Dixit Project, Dream Out Loud, Levitikus, Midival Punditz, Blend, Barefaced Liar, Span, Five Little Indians, Half Step Down, Myndsnare, Soulmate, Anal Funk, Span, Cassini`s Division, HFT, Menwhopause, Feedback, Artistes Unlimited, Galeej Gurus, Kryptos, Scribe, Advaita, Anterior, Motherjane, Medusa, Detonation, Level 9, Caesar`s Palace, Sajid Akbar and the Lost Boys, Mohit Chauhan, Something Relevant, Demonic Resurrection, Cyanide and Split.

As many as sixty contemporary music groups from across India played their music belonging to genres like rock, pop and jazz at the East Wind Music Festival. This made East Wind Music Festival in India as the largest ever assembly of Indian modern music bands of folk arts and fusion.
