Dhathamandir in Kashmir

Dhathamandir is midway between the towns of Rampur and Uri. The literal meaning of the word `Dhathamandir` is `the ruined temple`, akin in style to the Buniar temple, the difference lying in the material used to build the cells and the absence of colonnade in its central structure. The central shrine, facing northeast, is made with green limestone. The plinth of the idol still exists to this day, withstanding time. On the northwestern corner of the patio, there are two small shrines, which are replicas of the main temple itself. There are also two miniature shrines, which imitate the main shrine, located few yards to the southeastern side of the Buniar temple.
