Department of Zoology of Lucknow University is famous for its rare zoological collection.

Department of Zoology under the University of Lucknow is one of the famous zoological research departments in the country. It was established in the year of 1921.

In the laboratory of this department different types of invertebrates and vertebrates are preserved in formalin and alcohol. The Department of Zoology also contains various and rare specimens of mammals.
