Daulat Singh was an eminent ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Idar from the year 1911 to 1931. He was born on 12th May 1875, to father Bhupal Singh, Maharaja of the state of Jodhpur. Daulat Singh was later adopted by his uncle Pratap Singh, Maharaja of the princely state of Idar. He succeeded his uncle and ascended the throne or gadi of Idar, after Lieutenant General Maharaja Sri Pratap Singh Sahib Bahadur of Idar, GCB, GCSI, GCVO, KIH abdicated in his favour in the year 1911.
Daulat Singh was honoured with the Knight Commander of the Order of the Star of India (KCSI) in the 1920 New Year Honours. Maharaja Daulat Singh of the princely state of Idar died on 14th April 1931. He was succeeded by Himmat Singh, who was his eldest son.
