Dashal Temple
Dashal temple is constructed on an elevated platform and is indeed one of the venerated shrines.
About 30km from Kullu, on the left bank there is a village named Sarsai. Dashal village is about 1/2km from Sarsai village. The Dashal Temple located here is a shrine of Gauri-Shankar, distinguished for its architecture. Built in the 14th century it resembles pyramidic style. Dashal temple is constructed on an elevated platform. The outer walls bear amorous scenes like those of Kahrao, under the philosophy that one must leave sexual activities aside in order to attain nirvana. A Shivlingam is installed in the sanctum of the temple.
