Charpa Falls

Charpa Falls, Kerala is present between the Athirappilly Falls and Vazhachal Falls quite near the roads and is frequently thronged by travellers from all across the country.

Charpa Falls, AthirappillyCharpa Falls is a beautiful waterfall which is existent in Athirappilly Panchayath in Thrissur District in the southern Indian state of Kerala, along the Chalakudy River amidst the Vazhachal Falls and Athirappilly Falls. It is present at a distance of nearly 60 kms away from Thrissur. During the period from June to August which represents the monsoons, the flow of the waterfall increases to a great extent and its water moves to the roads.

Compared to the other waterfalls of Kerala, the height of Charpa Falls is not equally magnificent, yet is frequently visited by numerable tourists and nature lovers. This waterfall is situated very close to the roadways. If visitors stand on the road near the waterfall, they would be greeted by a fresh spray of mist, from the Charpa Fall. Travellers who pay visit to Vazhachal and Athirappilly Falls often stop to witness the Charpa Falls.
