Constructed at Bhadrajun in the 16th century, the Bhadrajun Fort was built by the Rathore kings of Marwar in the Jalore district of the state of Rajasthan. The fort is strategically located in the village of Bhadrajun, which is surrounded in a horse shoe shape valley with one entry from the east. The walls of the fort are high, standing tall at a height of 20 to 30 ft with a uniform width of 10 ft.

The Bhadrajun Fort stands at an elevation of almost 610 m and has bastions known as burjis, which were constructed to erect canons and to eject arrows against invaders. The fort was built on rugged hills and is surrounded by forest that has a rich flora and fauna consisting of vegetation like trees, cacti, bushes, etc. Wildlife such as jackals, wild cats, blue bulls, hedge hogs and foxes inhabit the forest surrounding the fort. Currently, the Bhadrajun Fort has been converted into a luxury hotel and is a popular centre of attraction among tourists.
