Astomi

As defined in Hinduism, Astomi are an ancient legendary race of people who did not eat or drink anything. They fed themselves by smelling apples and flowers. The reference of these people are also found in Megasthenes` `Indica`. He mentioned them to be located at the mouth of the river Ganges having rough, hairy bodies without any mouth. They carried roots, flowers and apples to smell and feed themselves. Even an unpleasant smell could kill them.
