Asha Purani Mandir was constructed by Bhagat Chajju Ram in 1949. Asha Purani Mandir reaches a lofty height of 30 feet and the main entrance is through the north gate. The commanding idol is Goddess Durga, 10 feet in height. According to legends, the temple stands at the very spot, where the Aash (veins) of the Goddess was hurled down by Lord Vishnu with his Sudarshan Chakra. Thus, Asha Purani Mandir came to be known by its present name.
