Anthropological Musuem at Canchipur

The small and beautiful picturesque city in the state of Manipur (land of jewels), Canchipur is a nice place of tourist attraction. Besides the vast colorful gardens of Orchids, Canchipur also houses an Anthropological Museum.

Established in the year 1982, this museum is exactly located in the Manipur University. The objects that have been displayed in the museum include weaving implements, varieties of fishing nets, typical potteries of tribes and tribal costumes.

One thing to be remembered is that the Anthropological Museum at Canchipur opens only for students when needed. General visitors are not allowed to view the museum.
