Located in Mazgaon, which is one of the seven islands of Mumbai, the Aga Khan"s Maqbara is a mausoleum dedicated to the governor of Kirman, Aga Khan I. The construction of the mausoleum started in 1881 right after the funeral of Aga Khan and ended in 1884. The architecture of the mausoleum is in Indo- Islamic style and the structure has some semblance to the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum is well kept and is looked after by the jamaatkhana of the Khoja Muslims.
