The species of avifauna found here are Owls, Partridges, Peacock Pheasant, Tragopan, Water hen, Night Jar, Thrushes, Barbets, Woodpeckers, Babblers, Bluejoy of Rollar, Lapwing, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Ashy Wood Pigeon, Speckled Wood Pigeon, Parakeets, Kingfishers, Great Indian pied hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, and Orioles etc.

The best time to visit the forest is from October to May. One has to reach the forest by a vehicle after that should get into the forest by trek. Dibrugarh Town Railway Station and Daporijo Airfield are the nearest to this forest.
