Kenilworth Fort, Hosur, Tamil NaduLocated in the modern day Krishnagiri district of the state of Tamil Nadu, the Kenilworth Fort is situated in the Hosur region. Also known as the Kenilworth Castle because of its architectural similarities to the original Kenilworth Castle in England, the Kenilworth Fort is probably the only Indian fort that resembles an English castle.

The Kenilworth Fort was built sometime between 1859 and 1862 by the collector of Salem, Mr. Brett, on his wife"s request. The fort was constructed as the residence for the collector and his wife and hence was sometimes referred to as the Brett"s Fort. The Kenilworth Fort was later purchased by the British government in 1875 but is currently in ruins.
