Standing tall as a centrepiece in the Buddha Park of Ravangla, the Tathagata Tsal statue is a 130 foot high statue of Lord Buddha located in the South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. Consecrated on 25th March, 2013 by the 14th Dalai Lama, the Tathagata Tsal statue has become a stop on the Himalayan Buddhist Circuit. This statue marks the occasion of the 2550th birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha.
The site for the Tathagata Tsal statue was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Monastery and the statue was built and installed in the place with the joint efforts of the Sikkim government and its people.
