The sweet and charming actress Kanika Maheshwari is quite a popular name in the Indian television industry. She is a Delhi based lass who came to the tinsel town just to fulfill her acting dreams. She got her first break with 'Kabhie Aaye Na Judaai' on Star Plus. She was recently seen the much popular serial on Star One titled 'Viraasat'in the character portrayal of Juhi Lamba.
In this soap she has worked with the likes of Rohit Roy, Kiran Kumar and Amar Upadhyay. She claims that it has been a great learning experience for him. She also seemed to be very excited about portraying this character as the character has shades of grey. She reacts to different situations differently and is very much happy to be a part of such a big show. She also claims that her co-stars are very co-operative and they have taught her a lot in terms of displaying her acting skills. She also feels that she needs to get better with time as she was selected among 60 girls including many known faces to play this character. Kanika Maheshwari was also seen portraying the character of Neil in the very popular Balaji soap 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki'. She also played the character of Mahan in 'Piya Ka Ghar', which used to be broadcasted in Zee Television but soon opted out of the show due to health reasons. Then she was there in other popular soaps like 'Ek Ladki Anjaani Si' on Sony Television, 'Lipstick', 'Reth', 'Kaavyanjali' and 'Hey Yeho To Hai Woh'.
Kanika Maheshwari is also very happy about her role in 'India Calling' and declared in a recent interview that she had a great time working with Shristi Arya, the producer of the same show. She claims that the sets of 'India Calling' has been her school where she had been trained by the director just as she was taught by her teachers in school. She also felt that the sets were like her second home and had great fun out there. In the serial 'C.I.D.' she is very excited about portraying the role of a cop's (Played by Sachin Sharma) girl friend. She also did a brief role in the telefilm called 'Saanjh Savera' along with popular stars like Faizal Khan and Kitu Gidwani for the channel Sahara.
On the personal front also the actress is a very happy and contented individual. She is sharing a cozy relationship with Pracheen Chauhan who plays the character of Subroto in 'Kasauti Zindagi Ki'. Their reel life romance in the serial 'Sindoor', which was broadcasted on Zee Television, set the sparks for them in real life as well. Together they have been spotted almost everywhere in Mumbai ranging from multiplexes to restaurants. In terms of her acting career her fans expect a lot out of her and she in turn promises them to live up to their expectations by entertaining them by means of performance-oriented roles.
