Kitu Gidwani, Indian ActressKitu Gidwani, the famous model and actress is a Sindhi by birth. She was on 22 October 1967. She has appeared in a host of movies as well as several serials in the Indian Television. She completed her schooling from Fort Convent School. In the days of graduation she was inclined towards the French culture and soon after she appeared in a number of French plays. After that she began acting in English plays directed by Janak Toprani. After that she acted in some television serials. The major turning point of her career came when she was offered to act in a French film called `Black`.

Kitu made her acting debut with short films that won her many prestigious national awards. She also went on to a premier role in her first feature film `Rukhmavati Ki Haveli` in the year 1992. her acting in another film `Dance of the Wind` in 1997 was highly appreciated and won her a slew of awards all over the globe, including the Most Popular Film at the Channel 4and also the Best Actress at the Nantes Film Festival in December 1998. This award recognized her outstanding achievement for the role of Pallavi in `Dance of the Wind` directed by Rajan Khosa. In the year 2001 she was also roped in by the ITC Limited to promote Wills Sport Lifestyle brand of clothing.

In the television she made her debut in the year 1984 in one of the first super hit soaps called `Trishna` and then went on to make her mark in the popular soap `Swabhimaan.` To her credit she also has shows like `Air Hostess` and `Junoon` in her kitty. She also appeared in the multi-starrer Hindi soap called `Kulvadhu.` In the recent past she has starred in numerous hit serials and movies.
