Attractions of Gahunbari
Known for virgin beauty, this place of North Bengal provides the tourists ample opportunities to enjoy their vacations in the lap of nature. This place and its neighboring areas are home to various tourist attraction sites. There are Chapramari forest and Gorumara National Park in the vicinity which are home to several wild animals. Tourists can also explore the forest of Chapramari in-group. Gorumara is especially known for housing Indian rhinoceros. These two are ideal places for the wildlife lovers. Then there is the pristine Murti River and few kilometers away there is the district of Jhalong, popular for providing camping facilities. There are several resorts and hotels at this place which provide decent accommodation facilities to its arrivals. There are also some cottages at this place but these resorts, hotels and cottages have no electricity. These lodges are equipped with decent amenities but they have no electricity. The powers are supplied to them from generators.

One of the unique features of Gahunbari is that it can be visited throughout the year. The nearest railway station is situated at New Jalpaiguri. The nearest airport is situated at Bagdogra. After reaching the railhead or airport, one can hire bus or car service to reach the Gahunbari. By road, Gahunbari is situated 101 km from the Siliguri.
