![]() Early Life of Anusha Dandekar Anusha Dandekar was born in Khartoum, Sudan on 9th January 1982 to a Marathi family hailing originally from Pune in Maharashtra. She spent her childhood in Kingsgrove in Sydney. She has two siblings namely Shibani Dandekar and Apeksha Dandekar. One of her sister, Shibani, was a contestant in the dance based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Career of Anusha Dandekar Anusha Dandekar shifted to Mumbai, Maharashtra, in the year 2002 and began working in the entertainment industry. She has hosted a number of shows on Indian television. She has anchored a fashion television show titled MTV’s House of Style aired on MTV India. She has also hosted shows like MTV News, MTV Teen Diva and MTV Dance Crew. Apart from television anchoring, Anusha has also ventured into the Hindi film industry. She made her cinematic debut as an actress in Bollywood with the movie Mumbai Matinee in 2003. Subsequently she starred in Viruddh alongside Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Sanjay Dutt and Sharmila Tagore.
