Early Life of Uday Chopra
Uday Chopra was born on 5th January 1973 in the city of Mumbai to the late film director and producer Yash Chopra. He completed his education from University of California, Los Angeles. His brother is the prominent film director and producer Aditya Chopra.
Career of Uday Chopra
Uday Chopra began his career in the Hindi film industry as an assistant director in the films made by his father and brother. He worked in films like Parampara, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai and Hum Tum as the same. In the year 1994 he produced the film Yeh Dillagi starring Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Akshay Kumar. He made his cinematic debut in the year 2000 as an actor in the Yash Raj Films movie Mohabbatein alongside Jugal Hansraj and Jimmy Shergill. The film marked success at the box office and Uday's performance met positive reviews. For his performance he also received nomination for Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. He has mostly appeared in the movies produced under Yash Raj Films. Subsequently he appeared in films like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Supari, Kal Ho Naa Ho (special appearance) and Charas: A Joint Operation. In 2004 he starred in the action thriller Dhoom and also in its sequels titled Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3 in 2006 and 2013 respectively. Other films in which Uday Chopra has acted include Neal 'n' Nikki and Pyaar Impossible.
