History of Indroda Nature Park
In the year 1970 the forest department of Gandhinagar conceived a plan for reclaiming the land around the Sabarmati River and maintaining it with plantation work. With their efforts the land gradually became a manmade forest, entirely adorned with natural beauty and inhabited by a large number of shrubs, trees, reptiles, animals and birds. Exquisite landscapes surround the park which has been named as Indroda Nature Park.
