According to the 2001 census Cooper's Camp has 17,755 inhabitants where the males constitute 51% of the population and females 49% of the population. The literacy rate of Cooper's Camp is 65% higher than the national literacy standard, which is 59.5%. Males are more literate than the females with 73% literacy rate while that of the females is recorded at 58%. In Cooper's Camp, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.It became a notified area with twelve wards in 1997.
