6th Indian Infantry Brigade
6th Indian Infantry Brigade fought in several British battles and conquests, such as the Battle of Jitra and the Battle of Gurun. It surrendered to the Japanese forces in February 1942.

The 6th Indian Infantry Brigade was raised in September 1939 as a British Indian infantry formation. The brigade of the British Indian Army was formed in India for service during the Second World War. It was attached to the 11th Indian Infantry Division in November 1940 and was stationed in Singapore.

The troops of the 6th Indian Infantry Brigade fought in several British battles and conquests, such as the Battle of Jitra and the Battle of Gurun. In December 1941, the brigade suffered heavy casualties during the operations in Gurun. However the remaining troops were merged with the 15th Indian Infantry Brigade on 22 December 1941. Later the brigade took part in the Battle of Singapore. However on 15 February 1942, the remainder of the troops surrendered to the Japanese forces.

Formation of 6th Indian Infantry Brigade
The 6th Indian Infantry Brigade composed of a number of army units which are stated below-
* 2/10th Baluch Regiment (September 1939 - October 1939)
* 1/8th Punjab Regiment (September 1939 - December 1941)
* 8th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery (September 1939 - August 1940)
* 1/3rd Gurkha Rifles (September 1939 - January 1940)
* 2nd Royal Berkshire Regiment (September 1939 - August 1940)
* 2nd Royal Welch Fusiliers (September 1939)
* 3/2nd Punjab Regiment (September 1939 - January 1940)
* 2/15th Punjab Regiment (September 1940 - May 1941)
* 2/16th Punjab Regiment (October 1939 - December 1941)
* 2nd East Surrey Regiment (February 1941 - December 1941)
* 1st Seaforth Highlanders (November 1940 - February 1941)
