Riteish Deshmukh is a well known Indian actor who also works as a film producer in the Indian film industry. His acting career started in the year 2003 with K. Vijaya Bhaskar's movie Tujhe Meri Kasam. He however achieved success in the following year. He was also nominated for various awards in his career for his diverse performances. Riteish is also the owner of Veer Marathi Celebrity Cricket League and plays as the captain of the team. Shreyas Talpade and Mahesh Manjrekar, the two Bollywood personalities, are also the part of his team.
Early Life of Riteish Deshmukh
Riteish Deshmukh was born to the ex-chief minister of Maharashtra, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh on 17 December 1978. He earned a degree in architecture from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies. He also worked with an overseas architectural firm before retuning to India and perusing a career in film industry. He also has an ownership in an India-based architectural and interior designing firm called Evolutions.
Film Career of Riteish Deshmukh
Riteish Deshmukh made his debut as an actor in 2003 through a romantic movie Tujhe Meri Kasam in which he was starred with Genelia D'Souza. His next movie was Out of Control. Masti was his third movie which earned him great fame in the year 2004 and his performance also received appreciations and awards. The movie was also successful at box office. Bardaasht and Naach were his next movies. Ritesh gained recognition in a lead role through his movie Kyaa Kool Hai Hum where he was featured with Tusshar Kapoor. Later he also appeared in movies like Malamaal Weekly, Apna Sapna Money Money, Bluffmaster! and Cash. He appeared in cameo roles in Darna Zaroori Hai and Namastey London. In 2007 he was starred in Heyy Baby along with Fardeen Khan and Akshay Kumar and the movie proved to be a big hit. His next movie Dhamaal achieved moderate success. In the following years his ventures included Aladin, Rann, Do Knot Disturb, Housefull, F.A.L.T.U and Double Dhamaal. In 2012, he appeared in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya along with Genelia D'Souza which proved to be commercial success. His other movies included Housefull 2, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum and Grand Masti in which Ritesh's performance received mixed responses.
Riteish Deshmukh started producing movies with the Marathi movie Balak Palak under the direction of Ravi Jhadhav. The film achieved moderate success.
Achievements of Riteish Deshmukh
Riteish Deshmukh received several awards for his performances. He won Star Screen Awards for Most Promising Newcomer - Male and Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Debut in 2004 for his first movie. In 2005 he got Star Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards and IIFA Awards for Best Comedian for his movie Masti. In the next year he won Petal Award for Best Supporting Actor and Zee Cine Awards as well as IIFA Awards for Best Comedian. In 2008 he received Zee Cine Awards for Entertainer of the Year. He also won IIFA Awards for Best Performance in a Comic Role in the years 2011 and 2012.
Personal Life of Riteish Deshmukh
On 3rd February 2012, Riteish Deshmukh married the famous Indian actress Genelia D'Souza.
