Early Life of Shreyas Talpade
Shreyas Talpade was born on 27 January 1976 in a Marathi family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied at the Shree Ram Welfare Society`s High School.

Career of Shreyas Talpade
Shreyas Talpade started his career with Marathi theatre and Marathi serials. One of his most popular serials is Damini in which he enacted the role of Tejas. Overnight he became a household name. Besides these he has also done English plays like All The Best and A Funny Thing Called Love. He also appeared in the Zee TV serial Woh in 1997 and was a part of another serial, Adhikari Brothers. Shreyas Talpade got his first big break in the Nagesh Kukunoor`s Iqbal (2005). With this film he stepped silently in the arena of Indian cinema. In this Bollywood flick Shreyas Talpade played the role of a deaf and dumb boy who is passionate about cricket and dreams of playing for his country one day. The film was a big crowd puller. Shreyas Talpade shared the screen space with acting giants like Naseeruddin Shah and Girish Raghunath Karnad. He left an indelible mark on the minds of the audiences with his superb performance. He even impressed the audiences and the critics with his performance in Dor as a Behroopiya. In the year 2007 he appeared in Shahrukh Khan starrer, Om Shanti Om and played an important part in the film. The talented actor has acted in many notable movies like Apna Sapna Money Money, Bombay to Bangkok, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Click, Help, Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3. In 2011, he appeared in two films, namely Teen Thay Bhai and Hum Tum Shabana. But the films failed to be commercially successful. His next Bollywood ventures included Will You Marry Me?, Housefull 2 and Joker and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal.

In the year 2006, Shreyas won Zee Cine Critics Award - Best Actor for his brilliant performance in the movie Iqbal. He also received Star Screen Awards for Best Comedian for his movie Dor and Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award (Male) for Om Shanti Om in the years 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Shreyas Talpade married Deepti who is a clinical psychologist and counsellor. The couple met when Talpade went to her college as a celebrity guest.
