Tourism in Simdega District is famous for places exhibiting mesmerizing scenic beauty, intriguing historical remains and religious beliefs. Kelaghagh Dam
Kelaghagh Dam stands on Chhinda River in the Simdega district, at about a distance of 4 kilometres from Simdega headquarters. The beautiful dam is enwrapped by majestic hills making it an idea tourist place. Facilities like parasailing and motor boating are provided in this site by the district administration. A plateau in Kelaghagh hosts a beautiful park. The dam also provides drinking water supply to Simdega town.

Ram Rekha Dham
Ram Rekha Dham, situated about 26 kilometres from Simdega headquarters, is a sacred place. It is believed that Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana during their 14 years of Vanwas had visited this place. This belief is further consolidated by the archaeological artefacts like charan paduka, agni kund, gupt ganga, sita chulha etc have been discovered. Temples of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman, Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva are also located in a bowed cave of Ram Rekha Dham which further attracts a number of pilgrims. A grand fair is organized every year during Kartik Purnima which gathers a plethora of tourists and devotees.

Dangadi
Dangadi is located in block Bolba is famous for its enchanting scenic beauty. It houses a beautiful waterfall and is a well known picnic spot.

Ketunga Dham
Ketunga Dham is also situated in Bano Block is a significant historical place. It has been established as the Land Of Buddha Period by the archaeological survey of India. Numerous idols of Gautama Buddha were found at Ketunga Dham. It is believed that King Ashoka while returning from Kalinga war to Pataliputra had established these idols.

Tourism in Simdega District Rajadera
Rajadera is located in Thethaitanger Block having a field of sand. It hosts a beautiful waterfall on Chhinda River. It is famous picnic spot.

Bhairo Baba Pahari
Bhairo Baba Pahari is a famous cave in Phulwatanger village, Simdega Block. The appearance of the cave resembles a living body.

Bhanwar Pahar
Bhanwar Pahar is called so owing to a number of black bees (Bhanwara) found in the place. It is situated in Kolebira Block. These bees used to act as soldiers during ancient times. The small hill hosts beautiful flowers known as Gulaitchi which is the gift of nature for the villagers living on the hill. It also hosts a unique pond which is full of water throughout the year. The view from the hill top is amazing.

Mazar of Anjan Peer Saheeb
Mazar of Anjan Peer Saheeb is housed inside the Kolebira police station premise. The place symbolizes social policing and harmony. Uras Mela is held here every year where people belonging to all communities gather.

Tingina
Tingina is also known as Ashok Vatika of Simdega. The only tree found here are Ashoka Trees. The place is a nature`s gift to the villagers inhabiting in Tingina of Jaldega Block.

Bandurga
Bandurga, situated in Bolba Block, is a holy place dedicated to Goddess of Shakti and Goddess Durga. It attracts a number of devotees and is famous as a beautiful picnic spot.

Apart from being the famous tourist spots, these places also serve as famous picnic spots and pilgrimage centres. These unique places have greatly augmented the Tourism in Simdega District attracting people from all over the state as well as the country.
