Rohitasva was a ruler of the Solar Dynasty. He succeeded to the throne after his father Harishchandra. He built the state Rohitasvapura, now known as Rhotasgarh. According to Brahma Purana, Rohitasva had three sons. Haritaswa was the eldest prince. He had succeeded to the throne after his father but he soon died. The next king to ascend the throne was Champa who had built Champapuri, near present Bhagalpur in east Bihar. The next king was Sudeva. He was a good and a worthy ruler.
